How it works

1. You call or send a request

   Tell us your town and what's happening: seepage at the floor, a wet or cracked wall, a wall that's bowing in, a sump pump problem, or an egress window for a basement bedroom.

2. We connect you with a local company

   Calls and requests go to an independent waterproofing or foundation repair company that serves Blue Earth and Nicollet counties.

3. The company handles the job

   They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Mankato Basement Waterproofing is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

Minnesota requires a residential remodeler license from the Department of Labor and Industry for contractors who offer two or more of the state's special skill categories, and waterproofing falls under the masonry and concrete category. A company doing only one skill may not need a license, but only licensed contractors are covered by the state's Contractor Recovery Fund. Look the company up on DLI's license lookup, ask who will pull the permit, and get the scope, price and warranty in writing.
